CHERYL A. SHAW

Ms. Shaw is a graduate of San Diego State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law and was admitted to the California State Bar in 1993.

Following her experience as a personal lines underwriter for State Farm Insurance, she served as a Staff Attorney at Furness, Middlebrook, Kaiser & Higgins in Palm Springs, California, where she continued to develop her insurance defense background.  She then expanded her litigation skills into the field of business litigation while working for the firm Strauss Uritz in Ventura, California

As a Senior Attorney at Santa Barbara’s Archbald & Spray, she handled Civil Trial matters in the fields of Tort Litigation, Personal Injury Defense, Legal & Medical Malpractice Claims, Public Entity & Education Law, Environmental Law and Construction Defect Litigation. 

Ms. Shaw’s current practice areas include civil trial matters in the field of Tort Litigation, Personal Injury Defense, Law and Motion, Public Entity & Education Law, and Appellate Work.

She is a member of the California State Bar and Ventura County Bar Association, and past member of the Santa Barbara Chapter of the American Inns of Court and the Santa Barbara Women Lawyers.
