STEVEN H. WOHLGEMUTH
Mr. Wohlgemuth is a graduate of California State University Northridge, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University in 1978 and was admitted to the California Bar the same year.
Before attending law school, Mr. Wohlgemuth served in the Staff Judge Advocate’s office while on active duty in the United States Air Force and worked in the claims departments of several insurance companies in both New York and California.
Over the past 28 years of his legal practice, Mr. Wohlgemuth has been a litigation partner and managing partner of firms providing litigation defense and business advice in Southern California. His scope of experience includes matters involving personal injury and fraudulent claims defense, uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, business and labor law matters, products and premises liability cases, as well as construction defect and construction site accident litigation.
Mr. Wohlgemuth’s recent jury trial experience includes defense verdicts in Mercado v Stricklin, (a vehicular assault claim); Ornas Industries v Kolmar Laboratories, (a contaminated perfume products liability case); and Fringer v D&J Trucking, (involving serious injuries from a crane roll over).
Mr. Wohlgemuth is a member of the California State Bar and is admitted to Federal Court at the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel and the Ventura County Bar Association.
In addition to his active practice, Mr. Wohlgemuth serves as a Ventura County Court appointed Arbitrator as well as a Pro Bono Arbitrator.
